Knot & Pop was asked again to concept and curate Ace Hotel’s wedding showcase – Thoroughly Modern Marriage.
Devising the space, Knot & Pop selected and invited the Suppliers to Showcase and managed the project from Concept to Completion.
Aside from all of the expert Wedding Planning and Inspiration, Knot & Pop wanted to bring focus to the actual Marriage aspect so a Panel Discussion was orchestrated and hosted by Project Love to discuss Love & Marriage with three couples, each at different stages of their marriage.
The event is about giving a fully immersive and inspiring experience to couples – from the first welcome in the flower lift, to hearing the sounds of the String Quartet, to being seated in an area dressed as if a Ceremony for the Panel Discussion, to Find Your Foundation sessions with Space NK, a Nail Bar with The Painted Lady, full Floristry take over with Worm London and rooms styled for the Wedding Breakfast, so couples could sit and eat as if at a wedding, with mini mains available to try.
Styling for the first room took inspiration from a City Picnic, with fields of wheat projected onto curtains to soften the space and add interest. A blend of vintage and modern items accessorised the tablescape with antique silver candlesticks, speckled ceramic votives and monochrome gingham napkins for a modern twist to traditional picnic style.
Brands involved across the event included Space NK, Halfpenny London, Mr Start, Sundays London, Rachel Boston Jewellery, KUF Studios, Pale Press London, The House of Illustration, Wise Productions, The Curries, Frame Fitness, Worm London and more.
Come evening the Ceremony Room then became the Dance room with tunes from The Wedding Smashers and all the fun of the Photobooth.
