A beautiful Autumn wedding in the English Countryside at a historic English manor house. Lindsay and James booked Knot & Pop to help with Planning and manage all Event Design and Styling aspects.
With their love of the season guiding their wedding date, the Event Design embraced Autumnal shades and the inviting tones. We recreated one of the Couples’ favourite past-times, with a design that centred on a luxurious countryside picnic. Think traditional red gingham, mixed with full floral print and all those tumbling Autumnal leaves.
Inspired by the couple’s love of the English Autumn Countryside and the elegance and heraldry of the venue, St Giles House. An inviting Event Design was created, called Porcelain Picnic, that perfectly suited the couple and venue surrounds. Drawing inspiration from the Venue features, intricate plasterwork formed a central part of the design with custom design wax seals and monogram intaglios. To fully immerse Couple and Guests in the luxurious Picnic setting, large floral and Autumn leave installations flanked door entrances, and twisted up furniture, baskets with gingham trays formed canape service, warm blankets were available for outdoor lounging, wicker lanterns and fire pits burned brightly, with Autumn leaves mixed into Confetti.
Guests entered the Library dining room by first finding their seats from a fully sourced and styled Library Book Case, with Escort Cards designed as Library cards. Custom made floral table cloths were made, contrasting with traditional red gingham napkins for the Picnic setting to be revealed in full. Beautiful engraved plates mirrored the intricate plasterwork seen in the Venue, with patina cutlery and cut glassware further elevating the look. Candle colour bridged to seat pad, with beautiful wax detail bespoke stationery completing the tablescape design.
Lounge furniture was sourced and styled with window seats created in beautiful stripe fabric that further enhanced the countryside stylings. To flip the look, for Evening Fun, the basement party was styled with balloon installations, ribbon canopy and plenty of glow sticks!
