Jess and Luke celebrated their day in Normandy, with 40 of their closest friends and family.
A destination wedding with the couple and guests travelling mainly from America, the chateau venue was the perfect setting for a wonderful long wedding weekend at an exclusive homestay that perfectly mirrored the intimate and personal occasion the couple wanted.
We worked with the couple in the two months leading up to their wedding to assist with styling and over-see the set up and day itself. A hugely talented bride, who poured her heart and soul into her wedding, we supported her to ensure their day was brought to life as imagined. Sourcing the styling and tablescape items, we suggested and then brought over the items to style the day that matched the vision.
The day itself was bathed in sunshine. The ceremony took place under shade, in the most beautiful of worn and weathered out-buildings (expertly cleared by Swallows and Damsons). The cocktail hour then took place on the back lawn, with the dinner and dancing on the front lawn – making use of all of the venue surrounds to soak up the unique setting and day.
The outdoor tablescape brought together rustic wooden tables with eclectic furniture, vintage French plateware, cut glassware, and all those amazing florals, for a textural and magical feast. Lounge stylings were curated by us from the pick of the venue furniture – treasure upon treasure was found. The most memorable of celebrations for this wonderful couple, in a dream-like setting.
A floral feast, Swallows and Damsons made the most sumptuous arrangements – spanning button-holes, to bouquets, urn arrangements, balcony swags, table flowers and more. The palette was brought to life across the flowers with rich tones of deep red, blush pinks, ivory, fresh white with pockets of berries nestled within.
The bride produced all of her wedding stationery – with beautiful illustrations for the invitation and calligraphy throughout all of the On-The-Day aspects. She also made heart-felt welcome packs for each of the guests which contained hand-made soap, salts, artisan chocolate and a bespoke recipe book. Watch this space as we’re encouraging her to launch a wedding range!
