Celebrating Mid Summer and the final evening of Litha 2018, the floristry workshop hosted by Jo Flowers and Hart Floral, Knot & Pop created a fitting send off for all of the guests. Dining outdoors, the final supper took place with Bylaugh Hall as the backdrop.
Litha celebrates all that mid summer brings with it’s long days and lengthened hours of sunlight. With that, we wanted to play on the idea of sunlight, and bring it into the concept for the final supper. With longer lasting evening sun, we thought of sun dappled shadows and the magical flickers it would create across an outdoor tablescape. To be fully immersed in their designs, we wanted the guests to be cocooned in a table installation, with overhead flowers and foliage creating wonderful shadows.
To give a sense of abundant light, we kept the palette soft and delicate in sage greens and buttery yellows. Organic fabric runners with frayed edges mixed with textured pillar candles, bespoke ceramics, and mix and match cutlery. Working with Bureau Design, beautiful layered and textured menu and place card packages were created to add those perfect, and all important finishing touches. Artisanal, luxurious and indulgent, the Final Supper, was a true celebration of the creative and collaborative talent that Litha 2018 brought.
